PURPOSE:To make it possible to separate a clone producing a sugar chain specific antibody, by using an assay plate capable of assaying only the titer of an antibody specific to a sugar chain from many kinds of antibodies in blood. CONSTITUTION:In preparing an assay plate, a cell or the biotic specimen occurring therefrom or glycoprotein isolated therefrom is digested by protease. Then, a peptide part is removed to prepare glycopeptide which is, in turn, adsorbed by the assay plate for antigen-antibody reaction in a solid phase state. By using this assay plate, a sugar chain specific antibody is detected and the titer thereof is assayed and an antibody producing hybridoma is selected to enable the isolation of the clone producing the sugar chain specific antibody.
