PURPOSE:To use a data processor as an extremely effective means for attaining interruption from a terminal by monitoring an input string, and when detecting an input pattern specified by a programmer, generating software interruption concerned. CONSTITUTION:When '@' code is inputted to a control circuit M1, the 1st interruption '#' code is inputted, and when the 2nd interruption '%&' code string is inputted, the 3rd interruption is generated. When inputs are inputted in the order of 'ab(a)' from a terminal T1, the initial two characters are transferred to a computer system C1 as they are, but when '(a)' is inputted, the character is not passed and an interruption signal is inputted to the computer system C1 in stead of the input data to inform the generation of the 1st interruption at the terminal T1. If the programmer intends to assign '%$%' to the 1st interruption signal in stead of '(a)', the conversion can be attained by indicating the assignment to the control circuit M1 and rewriting internal data by the control circuit M1.
