PURPOSE:A herbicide composition having synergistically increased herbicidal effects, by using both a specific pyrozlesulfonylurea derivative and a specified 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-pyrazole derivative. CONSTITUTION:(a) A compound shown by formula I (A and R are lower alkyl; B is H, lower alkyl, halogen or lower alkoxy; X and Y are lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; Z is CH or N) and (b) at least one of compounds shown by formulas II and III as active ingredients are blended with a weight ratio of 10-1,000 pts.wt. component b based on 1pt.wt. component a to give a herbicide composition which can completely control Echionochloa crug-galli Beauv. var. praticola Ohwi., annual weeds - perennial weeds and yet has no phytotoxicity to rice plant. The composition has effects by treatment either before or after germination of weeds and high effects can be obtained either by soil treatment or by both foliar and soil treatments. The composition is effective against various crops besides rice plant. |
