Process for the manufacture of alkyl 4,4-dialkoxy-2-butenoate

This process consists in reacting, in the presence of an alkaline agent, a 1-acyloxy-1,2,2-trialkoxyethane with a substituted phosphorated derivative chosen from the dialkyl alkoxycarbonylmethylphosphonates, (alkoxycarbonylmethylene)triphenylphosphoranes and phosphonium halides.
