PURPOSE:To reduce disorder in the controlled variable due to disturbance and to improve capacity of control by weighting the controlled variable of a self tuning regulator (STR) applied to chemical process, etc. CONSTITUTION:In a system that controls a controlled system 1 by the output of an STR 2, when weighting the controlled variable by a weight lambda, known disturbance 3 is differentiated by a differentiator 6, and 1W dot 1 obtained by passing the value through an absolute value circuit 7 is inputted to a comparator 8. The comparator 8 outputs a value '1' when the input exceeds the threshold value 8 and outputs '0' in other cases. Output of the comparator 8 and the value of a lambdamin setting device 9 are multiplied in a multiplier and a reset integrator 11 and a are set dead a time generator 15 that operate by receiving the output are provided. Then, the value of a lambdamax setting device 12 and the output of the reset integrator 11 are supplied to the reset integrator 11 through a counter 14, and when it is found operable as an ordinary integrator, the output of the counter 14 is integrated. The output of the integrator 11 is inputted to the reset dead time generator 15 whose output is supplied to the STR 2 as a weight lambda.
