In a wrapper, e.g. a diaper, a small flat box containing a material which expands considerably in the presence of moisture is arranged between an absorbent layer and a moisture barrier layer, and in the flat box there is arranged a small ram which can be forced out of the flat box on absorption of moisture to such an extent that it can easily be felt through the fabric on top of the wrapper or the diaper.
