To enable a windscreen wiper to be lifted away from the windscreen the wiper arm 12 has a hollow head 10 which is connected to the motor shaft 28 through a resilient hinge, one end of which is movable along guides 14 fixed on said head. One end of the spring 20 is secured to the arm 26, the other to a pin 16 which can slide along guides 14 fixed to the hollow head 10. The arm 26 is secured to the motor shaft 28 and is looped at its lower end round a pivot pin 32 connecting the head 10 to the motor shaft 28. |
