PURPOSE:To easily obtain a check device which prevents trespass on a system, by processing a cipher in terminal-side and host-side cipher processing devices and updating the cipher processing code held in the terminal side and the host side if results of processing in said processing devices coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:The ID code received from the terminal side is collated with the ID code held in a user recorder 26, and a corresponding cipher processing code is set to a cipher sending device 28. At the time of the cipher sending device 28 sets a cipher to be inquired of the terminal side and sends this cipher, a cipher processing device 30 processes the cipher on a basis of the cipher processing code stored in a cipher processing code temporary storage device 27 to obtain a secondary cipher and sends this cipher to a collating device 31. The collating device 31 compares this cipher with a secondary cipher obtained by processing the cipher, which is sent from the device 28, based on the cipher processing code set in the device 28, and if they coincide with each other, a cipher processing code revising device 32 causes devices 26 and 27 to record a new cipher processing code. |
