PURPOSE:To measure the viscosity of low-viscosity fluid with high accuracy without increasing the size of a viscometer by flowing the fluid into a fine pipe and measuring the difference in pressure between the entrance end part and the exit end part of the fine pipe. CONSTITUTION:The fluid which passes through a duct 4 is made to flow into the fine pipe 7 by using a constant-flow-rate pump 2 and the pressure difference between the entrance end part 8 and exit end part 9 of the fine pipe 7 is measured by a differential pressure detector 10 to measure the viscosity. Then, the straight fine pipe 7 is formed spirally to increase the length of the fine pipe 7 without increasing the size of the viscometer, so the viscosity of the low-viscosity fluid is measured with high accuracy.
