The invention relates to a mounting for an indicator signpost for fastening the indicator signpost to a pillar or the like, in particular to a pillar of a protective barrier. The object on which the invention is based is to provide a mounting of the generic type mentioned at the beginning which enables easy mounting and dismounting of the indicator signposts, if need be. The object has been achieved according to the invention by a mounting which is characterised by a receptacle which engages at least partly around an indicator sign post held by the mounting, and by a connecting element which can be fastened to a pillar and is connected to the receptacle. The receptacle is preferably a push-in guide constructed in the manner of a sleeve and having an approximately triangular cross-section with rounded corners. <IMAGE>
