The invention describes a heating and ventilation device for motor vehicles with, arranged in a housing (1), air diffusion devices and control devices for feeding passenger-compartment-side air outlet openings (20, 21, 24, 25) with air at varying temperatures. In this arrangement, a mixed-air duct (15) is provided, inter alia, for supplying lateral and central air outlet openings (24, 25) in the region of the dashboard (23) and the central air outlet opening (24) has assigned to it an additional external air channel (27). The latter extends from an air inlet opening (2) of the housing (1) as far as its outlet (12) and can be closed by a main flap (7) serving for air guidance through the housing (1). <IMAGE>
