PURPOSE:To surely fix a sensor by cutting-off a pair of ribs, which forms a line of gas passage groove, in a bipolar plate, forming a pedestal in the cut-off part, and embedding the tip of a temperature sensor in a recess installed in the pedestal. CONSTITUTION:Of a pair of bipolar plates which support a unit cell of a fuel cell, a pair of ribs 8, 8 which correspond to a line of passage groove are cut-off in a bipolar plate 1 having an air passage groove 2, and a pedestal 9 having the same height as the rib 8 is formed in the cut-off part when the plate is molded. A T-shaped recess 10 is installed in the pedestal 9 beforehand, and a contact point 3' of a temperature sensor 3 is inserted into the recess 10, and embedded with a filler 11 such as fluorine resin. The displacement or coming off of the sensor 3 is eliminated, and the penetration of phosphoric acid electrolyte is prevented to eliminate the disconnection of the contact point 3'. |
