PURPOSE:To remove an offensive odor down to a level at which said odor is hardly sensed by discharging the smell generated from the liquid surface of a processing tank through a deodorizer from a hood provided above the tank. CONSTITUTION:The part above, for example, a dye bleaching tank which emits the offensive odor in a processing device is covered by the hood 18. A bottom edge 17 of the hood 18 is engaged with an upper edge 16 of the tank wall of the device and is made easily attachable and detachable by rotary elbows 20a, 20b. The offensive odor is sucked from the hood 18, is passed through a suction duct 24 and is deodorized by the deodorizer in a deodorizer container 23. The deodorized air is discharged from a discharge duct 25 by a fan 21. A granular material prepd. by depositing an ascorbate and/or iron ions onto a carrier (e.g.: silica gel) is usable as the deodorizer. The offensive odor generated from a processing soln. is removed down to the level at which said odor is hardly sensed according to the above-mentioned device.
