PURPOSE:To quickly perform processing by accessing an image memory for a number of times fewer than conventional to transfer data in an area of the image memory to another area or superpose data. CONSTITUTION:When data in an area A of an image memory 2 is transferred to an area B, a function signal inputted to a timing generating circuit 5 is read and cleared. Then, the output of an AND gate 9 becomes 0. In this state, the area A of the image memory 2 is accessed by an address A0-A24. Data in the area A is read out and is written on a save memory 10, and data 0 is written on the area A of the memory 2. The function signal is set to normal write, and a signal WE inputted to the memory 2 is set to the write-enable state. Data in the area A stored in the memory 10 is inputted to a terminal DOUT. At this time, the area B of the memory 2 is addressed by the address A0-A24 to write data of the area A on the area B.
