<p>PURPOSE:To make a turnabout operation ever so easy, by performing the turning of a car in a way of making full use of inherent power in the car mounted on a turntable, and making the turntable automatically after it is turned round as far as just 180 degrees. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a motor bus is turned around, the bus is made to go on board of a turntable 6, and driving rear wheels 10 of the bus are made to run into an interspace between a couple of driving rollers 11. Under this condition, when these driving rear wheels 10 are rotated, these rollers 11 are rotated together whereby this rotation force is transmitted to a friction roller 13 via a transmission system inclusive of a gearbox and a chain 40. Since this roller 13 is forcibly pressed against a guide wall 5 by dint of spring force, the turntable 6 gets turning. And, when this turnbable 6 turns around as far as just 180 degrees and the roller 13 runs into a projection installed in the guide wall 5, engagement in gears inside the gear box is set free via a lever and a link mechanism or the like so that turning motion in the turntable 6 is stopped.</p> |
