PURPOSE:To enable each of the fold-back points of a thread to form a different creeping tack from the other by making the timing at which a cam follower is positioned at a recessed part or a projected part correspond to the timing at which a thread is positioned at each fold-back point, in a textile machine such as a spinning winding machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:At the same time a drum 1 and a friction roller 18 are rotated to start the winding of a thread, a creeping cam 20 is also rotated in one direction. In accordance with the form of the cam face of the creeping cam 20, a cam follower 30 is moved up and down causing a swinging lever 26 to swing centering around a shaft 27, and a cam plate 4 is swung centering around a shaft 5 via a connecting rod 42. Thereby, the inclination of a cam groove 7 is varied causing the position of a slide piece 15 with respect to a shaft 12 to be varied at each of the right and left fold-back points of a traverse guide 10. Therefore, a guide arm 13 is inclined at the fold-back point, to vary the traversing width of a thread.
