PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of a traveling device by installing sheet guide rollers on both end parts of a board-like body which is provided at the back of a sheet body, resiliently displaceably to approach and separate from said board like-body. CONSTITUTION:Both end parts of a sheet body 24 which is slidingly in contact with a front face 23 which is the smooth surface of a board-like body 22, are put around a pair of wind-up rollers 25, 26. And, guide rollers 29, 30 for guiding the sheet body 24 are installed on both end parts of the board-like body 22 resiliently displaceably to approach and separate from the board-like body 22. These guide rollers are energized in the parting direction from the board-like body 22 by means of springs 31, 32 provided on brackets 27, 28. Further, rotary- body locking means 54, 55 consisting of a brake shoe 53, a driving lever 47, and a brake drum, etc. are provided to prevent the wind-up rollers 25, 26 from rotating in the rewinding direction when the travel of the sheet body 24 is stopped, while releasing the rotation preventing force when the sheet body is traveling. As a result, the noise of the traveling device can be reduced.
