<p>PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the efficiency of copying operation, by providing a detecting means composed of two sensors and an actuator to carry out the detection of presence of a recording sheet manually inserted and the detection of presence of a recording sheet from a cassette. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 21 is composed of two detecting sections 22, 23 and a pair of light shielding plates 24, 25 which are integrally incorporated, and is rotated about a rotary shaft 21a as a rotational center in association with the operation of the detecting section 22 or 23 for detecting a recording sheet. With this arrangement, a shield plate 24 or 25 allows a light beam from a photosensor 32 for detecting a sheet fed from a cassette or from a photosensor 33 for detecting sheet manually inserted to pass or to be shielded. As a result, a recording sheet is surely fed without the supply and replenishment being neglected, thereby it is possible to enhance the efficiency of copying operation.</p> |
