<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the pressure drop of the title filter and to enhance the efficiency in removing harmful gases by spotting the site where the air- permeable passage of an air-permeable material is formed with a granular powdery removing agent, and sporadically furnishing small holes for straight passage of air piercing through the front and rear surfaces of the main filter body. CONSTITUTION:Activated carbon 3 is deposited on polyurethane foam 1 having a three-dimensional skeletal structure, and further many holes 2 are bored in the polyurethane foam 1. The air flows in the direction A, flows out from the small holes 2 as shwon by (a), also passes through the cell of the three- dimensional skeletal structure, and also flows as shown by (b) while being brought into contact with the activated carbon 3. Consequently, the harmful gases are removed, the pressure drop of the filter is reduced, and the efficiency in removing harmful gases is enhanced, since the harmful gases are brought into contact with the activated carbon 3 deposited on the three-dimensional skeletal structure.</p> |
