PURPOSE:To obtain a high-sensitivity photosensitive material contg. a fogging restrainer to maintain the stable photographic characteristics during the preservation with time by incorporating a silver halide emulsion layer contg. silver halide particles of the trisoctahedron crystal, the surface of which has the faces defined by Miller indices (nn1) and specific compd. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material contains at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer contg. the silver halide particles of the trisoctahedron crystal, the surface of which has the faces defined by the Miller indices (nn1) (n>=2, n is natural number) and the compd. expressed by formula I. The grain size of the silver halide particles is not particularly limited and is effective preferably in a 0.1-3.0mum range. The more particularly preferable layer as the layer of the silver halide photographic sensitive material to which the compd. expressed by formula can be added is the silver halide emulsion layer and the hydrophilic colloidal layer adjacent to the emulsion layer. Said compd. is preferably used in a 1-1,000mg, more preferably 5-800mg range per mol of silver halide. |
