The invention concerns a calcium supplement compressed tablet composition comprising at least about 80% by weight of compacted calcium phosphate, about 0.5 to about 1% by weight of croscarmellose sodium and about 0.5 to about 1% by weight of sodium lauryl sulphate, the amount of sodium lauryl sulphate being about 50% to about 100% by weight based upon the weight of croscarmellose sodium.
