PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a transmission sides retransmission even if an idle fixing occurs improperly and to insure a telegram against being lost on a reception side by prodiding an image memory buffering a reception telegram until an idle fixing check function ends its checking. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reception, a device control part 3 drives a mechanism part through a mechanism interface part 4, and a recording part 2 records the reception telegram on a recording paper 4. In order to check the idle fixing the device control part 3 starts marker printing control part 34, and causes said part 34 to record a marker 101 in the vicinity of the tip of the recording paper 10. If the idle fixing occurs, a position sensor 19 decides the position, and then a cutter 17 cuts the tip of the recording paper 10. An image memory 9 acts as temporarily storing the reception telegram.
