The invention relates to halogenobenzophenone-oxime derivatives of the general formula (I) wherein R is C3-C8 alkyl with a branched hydrocarbon chain, and Ar is a halogenophenyl group of the formula (II) in which R1 is F, Cl or Br, and R2 and R3, identical or different, represent each H, F, Cl or Br. The derivatives of formula I are useful as antibacterial agents.
