PURPOSE:To prevent engine load from being reached to a fuel increment range, by making a first gear shifting pattern making much of fuel consumability and a second gear shifting pattern making much of power capacity selectable, and controlling a speed change with the second gear shifting pattern at the time of more than the specified load being lower than the fuel increment range. CONSTITUTION:A gear shifting pattern selecting device 3 is provided with a first gear shifting pattern being set to an automatic transmission 2 and an engine 1 according to a car speed and a second gear shifting pattern setting a shift line to the more high speed side than the former, and selects these gear shifting patterns according to a gear shifting pattern command signal. And, a transmission controlling device 4 controls the number of speeds of an automatic transmission on the basis of the gear shifting pattern selected by the device 3. In addition, a fuel increasing device 7 receives output out of a load detecting device 6 and increases a fuel supply by a fuel supplying device 5 at the time of more than the specified first load. And, a gear shifting pattern setting device 8 sets the gear shifting pattern to the second gear shifting pattern at the time of more than the second load lower than the first load. |
