PURPOSE:To make unnecessary a pocket bell response trunk and a pocket bell recall trunk in a PBX and to allow an inexpensive pocket bell call transmitter to cover a pocket bell call device by shifting the function of a pocket bell circuit connection control circuit required for connecting a circuit responding to a responding party to a circuit connection control circuit in the PBX. CONSTITUTION:The information processing function involving in the call and response to a pocket bell is shifted to the circuit connection control circuit in the PBX. Receiving a specific number for calling the pocket bell, the PBX 2 connects the circuit of an outgoing party 1 to a pocket bell outgoing trunk 4 to call the pocket bell, and transmits the number of a pocket bell slave set to be dialled following said specific number to call the pocket bell to a pocket bell call device 6 through a circuit 5. According to the number of the slave set, the pocket bell call transmitter 12 calls the pocket bell. The PBX 2 stores information on the outgoing party including the telephone number of the outgoing party 1, containing position data and the number of the called pocket bell slave set in the circuit connection control circuit 14. After dial operation ends, the outgoing party 1 waits by hooking off a handset.
