PURPOSE:To utilize accumulated heat efficiently and reduce the number of control valves by a method wherein a latent heat accumulating type heat exchanger, constituted of a latent heat accumulating unit filled with latent heat accumulating agent, and a heat exchanger, is installed indoor and another heat exchanger is installed outdoor while the heat of both of the heat exchangers are exchanged by a refrigerant while the heat is exchanged directly between the latent heat accumulating agent and an indoor space. CONSTITUTION:When a room temperature is higher than a set value and a heat medium temperature TW is lower than the melting point TM of latent heat accumulating agent 4 in the case of room cooling, a control valve 9 is opened, heat medium in outdoor side heat exchanger B is cooled by atmosphere and flows in a direction (a), cold heat is accumulated in the latent heat accumulating agent 4, further, heat of the indoor air is exchanged directly at the heat transfer surfaces of a vertical fin 2 and a flat plate type fin 3 by a fan 13 and heat medium in a heat absorbing and releasing tube 1 is heated and flows in a direction (c) to circulate. When the temperature TW is higher that the temperature TM, a control valve 9 is closed to stop the flow of heat medium and heat exchange is effected between the latent heat accumulating agent 4, in which the cold heat is accumulated previously, and the fins 2, 3 whereby the indoor air is cooled. When the room temperature is lower than the set value and the temperature TW is lower than the temperature, TM, the control valve 9 is opened to stop the fan 13 and cold heat is accumulated in the latent heat accumulating agent 4. When TW>TM, the control valve 9 is closed and the fan 13 is stopped. |
