PURPOSE:To rotate a picture image with an optional angle without deteriorating picture quality, by finding the picture element data of a rotary picture by interpolating it from plural picture elements of an original picture. CONSTITUTION:In a page buffer memory 1, the picture element of the original picture is stored. Plural picture elements at the periphery of the extracting position of the original picture corresponding to one picture element of a rotary conversion picture, are readout from the buffer memory 1, according to an address from an address generating means 5. Next, the picture element of the rotary conversion picture is found from readout plural picture elements, by an interpolation arithmetic using an interpolating means 4. In this way, the picture image can be rotated with the optional angle without deteriorating the picture quality. |
