PURPOSE:To decrease the cable cost and to make the diameter of the cable small by using a wavelength multiplex transmission means so as to send signals being photoconversion of R, G, B (and synchronizing) signals through one optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Electrooptic converters 1, 2, 3 consist of a light emitting element and a circuit driving the element and as the light emitting elements, light emitting diodes LED or laser diodes LD whose the wavelengths of light are lambdaR, lambdaG, lambdaB corresponding to R, G, B signals. The optical signals whose wavelengths are lambdaR, lambdaG, lambdaB are sent to a multiplexer 7 through optical fibers 4, 5, 6, multiplexed at the multiplexer 7, and the lights of three wavelengths lambdaR, lambdaG, lambdaB are being sent through the optical fiber 8. On the other hand, the wavelength multiplex signal is demultiplexed into the signal of the lights lambdaR, lambdaG, lambdaB through a demultiplexer 9 at the receiver B. The signal demultiplexed into respective wavelengths enters photoelectric converters 13, 14, 15 through optical fibers 10, 11, 12 respectively. |
