Use of biologically active polypeptides and compositions containing them.

The process entails the hydrolysis of natural substances in an aqueous medium, and comprises the following steps: a) an aqueous homogenisate of natural substances is prepared, b) enzymatic hydrolysis is carried out with a hydrolytic agent containing alpha-chymotrypsin, c) a fraction containing the polypeptides of specified molecular weight is separated from the hydrolysate, and this fraction is collected. The compositions containing these polypeptides are useful for their actions on cells in vivo and/or in vitro.
