PURPOSE:To eliminate a waiting in rotation, and to reduce a processing time, by starting a load from a record in the neighborhood of a data head on a cache memory, and arranging the record in the same order on a track in a disk device. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 10 reads out a data from the record in the neighborhood of the data head in a disk device 13 through a director 14, and finds an address marker, and from its cell number, an address to be written on a cache 15 is calculated. Following that, the length of a field to be written is set at a directory 16, and the data received from the device 13 is transferred to a track slot 17. After completing the transfer of the final field of the track, the storage director 14 is set at the forefront address of the track slot 17, and the field not transferred yet is transferred from the first field in the same manner. Therefore, the data is arranged on the cache in the same order as on the track in the disk device, thereby the waiting in rotation can be eliminated.
