<p>Elastomeric composition comprising polynorbornene and a plasticiser consisting of aromatic and naphthenic oils, a high viscosity at room temperature and at least one filler and vulcanisation accelerators, characterised in that: - the plasticiser is present in the composition in a proportion of 1/1.8 to 1/2.8 relative to the polynorbornene, - the composition contains a tackifying agent present in the mixture in a proportion of 1/0.5 to 1/0.3 relative to the polynorbornene, and - the polynorbornene has a molecular weight of between 2,000,000 and 3,000,000, and its density is of the order of 0.90 to 0.96. Inserts (1) made of this composition and intended for sports shoes ensure an impact absorption ratio of approximately 98.56%, namely a virtually complete absorption.
