<p>PURPOSE:To attain an appropriate transfer regardless of the degree of the hygroscopicity of a transfer paper by grounding a transfer paper guide plate and its pressure spring through a resistance. CONSTITUTION:The transfer paper guide plate 7, a subguide plate 7B and the pressure spring 9 are supported by an insulating supporting member 12, and are grounded through the resistance 14, whereby a stable transfer action can be attained regardless of the degree of hygroscopicity of the transfer paper 4. Even if the hygroscopic state of the transfer paper 4 is high or low, charges electrostatically charged corona discharge from a transfer electrode 5 flow to the grounding side through the resistance 14. The flow is approximately decided by the resistance value of the resistance 14 and that of the transfer paper 14. When the resistance value of the resistance 14 is appropriately set to a high level, an appropriate image can be obtained by suppressing the flow of the electrostatic charges to the grounding side if the transfer paper 4 is high hygroscopic. Even if said paper 4 is low hygroscopic, an appropriate image can be obtained, and a shedding phenomenon and malfunction never occur.</p> |
