The post includes two post tubes (6) whose opposing end faces are connected by a spring joint. The joint includes an elongate resilient member (2) extending inside the tubes and being fastened by axial pre-tension. The resilient member comprises a massive body of polymeric material, at least nearly filling the cross-section of the tubes. A portion of the length of the body is surrounded by at least one sleeve (4) to which it is directly fastened. A corresponding post tube is slipped onto the sleeve. The end of the sleeve facing towards the joint is fixed against displacement towards the other post tube. |
