The spray box has a wall in which the spraying slot is formed. The object and the box are made to move relatively to each other at right-angles to the slot. The box is activated pref. by a magnet valve to function in a pulsating manner to produce the strip code, and a unit detects the markings made. The spray box comprises a funnel-shaped casing with an end wall, to which is attached a spraying mouthpiece which directs a fluid flow towards the wall surface opposite to the end wall. The box has a conduit for supply of compressed air to ensure that its interior is under excess pressure during marking. - The pulsations of the valve are produced with the aid of an electronic arrangement, comprising a voltage supply unit, a central processor, and a communication unit. The marking fluid used is of the ultra-violet fluorescent type, which illuminated under application of light within the wavelength range of 300 - 400 mm. (Provisional basic advised week 8744)(0/5) |
