PURPOSE:To obtain the titled article such as long-sized pipe, with significantly outstanding impact resistance, formable through processes other than filament winding forming process, by blending specific fibrous filler and thermoplastic material followed by forming. CONSTITUTION:The objective article consisting of (A) filamentous fibrous filler with a length 3-100mm and aspect ratio 100-10,000 and (B) thermoplastic material in a weight ratio A/B=0.5/99.5-80/20. This article can be obtained by melting the blend of the components A and B using a ram extruder elevated to a temperature higher than the melting points of said components followed by extrusion processing while shaping through dies. |
