PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition outstanding in rigidity, heat-resistant rigidity and transparency, suitable for food containers, food packagings, etc., by incorporating a propylene polymer with respective specified amounts of specific phosphate compound and dibenzylidene sorbitol compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a crystalline propylene polymer (e.g. propylene homopolymer, ethylene-propylene random copolymer) with (B) 0.01-1(pref. 0.01-0.5)pt.wt. of a phosphate compound of formula I (R1 is straight-chain bond, sulfur or 1-4C alkylidene; R2 and R3 are each H or 1-8C alkyl; M is 1-3 valent metal atom; n is 1-3) [e.g. sodium-2,2'-methylene-bis(4,6-di-t-butylphenyl)phosphate] and (C) 0.01-1(pref. 0.01-0.5)pt.wt. of a dibenzylidene sorbitol compound of formula II (R4 and R5 are each H, chlorine or 1-4C alkyl) (e.g. 1,3,2,4- dibenzylidene sorbitol). |
