<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the file destruction and also to quickly and automatically cut off the power supply of an information processing system, by starting counter means which sets the time needed for processing of a specific microprogram and cutting off the power supply of the entire system only when the counting action is through with said counter means. CONSTITUTION:An operator closes a switch 7 of a power supply controller 1 as shown by a dotted line. The switch 7 sends '1' to a counter 5 and a cut-off signal transmission circuit 4. The circuit 4 sends an interruption signal to a processor 2 to give an instruction to a microprogram for the countermeasure to a power supply cut-off state. A specific microprogram of the processor 2 sends an instruction to an input/output device 3 by said interruption signal. Thus the device is forcibly stopped and therefore the data processing under execution is finished by a single instruction. The time during which the data processing is through is set previously to the counter 5 based on an instruction received while the device 3 is processed. Thus the counter 5 sends an instruction to a relay 6 to open a contact point 8 after counting the prescribed set time.</p> |
