PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive plastic used as plastic cell, an antistatic sheet for IC package, etc., by synthesizing polythiophene as powder by the use of a redox initiator and press molding the powder. CONSTITUTION:Thiophene is polymerized by the use of a redox initiator (e.g., H2O2-FeCl2, etc.) at room temperature to give the aimed finely powdered polythiophene.
