PURPOSE:To enable close-up photography at a closer position than a specific distance range or long-distance photography beyond an AF range by providing a switching member which sets whether a lens is stopped at an initial position or moved from the initial position, and taking a picture while the lens is at the initial position or moved from the initial position according to the operation of the switching member. CONSTITUTION:An automatic focus adjusting camera which takes a picture by moving the lens from the initial position and setting it at a position corresponding to object distance is provided with the switching member which sets whether the lens is stopped at the initial position or moved from the initial position, and photography is performed while the lens is at the initial position or moved from the initial position according to the operation of the switching member. Namely, a pin 24a on an AF setting plate lock lever 24 as the switching member is constrained and the AF setting plate lock lever 24 is controlled to a stop position which deviates counterclockwise. In this case, the hook 24b of the AF setting plate lock lever 24 is positioned below the slide track of a bent part 19f accompanying the operation of said AF setting plate 19. |
