PURPOSE:To reduce the error of an integral distance by suppressing the effect of the error of observation data, by calculating a moving distance by calculating position function subjected to curve approximation from a plurality of observation data by the method of least squares and calculating the integral distance of a wake. CONSTITUTION:The observation data on XY coordinates corresponding to the past (n) times obtained at every constant interval by an azimuth measuring apparatus 1 are inputted to a position coordinates function operation part 2 which in turn performs the operation of least squares on the basis of preset evaluation function to calculate the position coordinates function of the wake of an own ship to the time (t) subjected to curve approximation. A moving distance operation part 3 calculates and integrates the moving distance of the own ship to the elapse of a time on the basis of the position coordinates function and the result calculated by the moving distance operation part 3 is displayed on a display part 4. By this method, the error of a wake integral distance can be reduced. |
