PURPOSE:To improve the workability and reliability by connecting an electromechanical conversion element and a terminal pin via a lead member and forming the lead member by a conductive plate member in an ultrasonic wave delay line with a cover. CONSTITUTION:Two electromechanical conversion elements 4 are fitted to an end face 6 provided obliquely to one side of a ultrasonic wave delay medium 1 made of a glass. The electromechanical conversion element 4 and the terminal pin 3 are connected via the lead member formed by using the conductive plate member and a cover is fitted. A narrow part 7 is formed to the connection with the element 4 and a broad part 8 is formed to the connection with the terminal pin 3 respectively and the entire part is formed by a plate member made or a metal with excellent conductivity or other raw material having a desired strength and conductivity properly. Thus, the adhesive area is made comparatively wider to fix the delay line to an opposite member, the open wire is prevented and the short-circuit is prevented effectively without shaping.
