Admixtures of a) an antifungal, antibacterial agent, such as povidone-iodine, (many others listed), b) a sugar e.g. sucrose and c) suitable carrier are substantially non-allergenic and have excellent healing properties when applied to burns or open wounds and serve as an effective barrier to the growth of healing tissue into gauze or similar dressing. |
