PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility and the fastness of a magenta dye image to light and to prevent the generation of Y-stains by incorporating the magenta coupler and compds. expressed by prescribed formulas into a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the compd. expressed by formula I and at least one of the compd. expressed by formula II are incorporated into the silver halide photographic sensitive material which forms colors when subjected to exposing and developing. Z in formula I is the nonmetallic atomic group necessary for forming a nitrogenous heterocycle, X is a hydrogen atom or substituent which can be eliminated by the reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent, R denotes a hydrogen group. R<1>, R<2>, R<4> in formula II are respectively a hydrogen group, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkenyl group, aryl group or heterocyclic group, R<6> is an alkenyl group, cycloalkenyl group, alkenyl group or aryl group, R<3> is a substituent, J is the compd. expressed by formula III. |
