PURPOSE:To prevent early capacity drop in deep charge-discharge cycles by adding a potassium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid to an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:In a paste type lead-acid battery using a lead-calcium group alloy grid, a potassium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid is added to an electrolyte. By adding this salt to the electrolyte, early capacity drop in deep charge-discharge cycles which is a problem in a paste type lead-acid battery using lead-calcium group alloy grid can be prevented. |
