<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a system by setting a magnetic tape control means, and a magnetic tape driving which has sent out a magnetic tape skip command, to a non-connection state until a skip operation is completed. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape control means, and a magnetic tape driving device which has sent out a magnetic tape skip command are set to a nonconnection state until a skip operation is completed. A pulse signal from a tachopulse circuit 315 is counted by a counter 313, the skip length of a magnetic tape is calculated and inputted to a comparator 314, and when it is compared with data from a register 312 and does not reach the data from the register 312, a dissidence signal SC1 from the comparator 314 is applied to a driving mechanism 317, and the skip operation of the magnetic tape is continued. When a prescribed skip operation is performed and reaches the middle of a prescribed inter-block gap, a coincidence signal SC2 is outputted to a completion bit generating circuit 324 from the comparator 314, and a skip completion bit signal SB1 is applied to an instruction completion recognizing part 215 in a magnetic tape controller 21. Accordingly, other magnetic tape driving devices can be operated at the same time while keeping pace with thus device.</p> |
