<p>PURPOSE:To improve the integration of EPROMs by providing a program driver arranged at either one side of a memory cell array so that a word line can be driven only from said side. CONSTITUTION:At the time of programming, only the program driver DR1 arranged at the left side of the memory cell array MCA drives the word line WL1, while only the program driver Dr2' arranged at the right side of the memory cell array MCA drives the word line WL2. No program driver driving the word line WL1 exists at the right side, and no program driver driving the word line WL2 exists at the left side. The program drivers DR1, Dr2'... corresponding to the word lines WL1, WL2... are arranged at both sides of the memory cell array MCA by distributing them in zigzags. Thus the integration of EPROMs can be improved with a margin.</p> |
