PURPOSE:To improve the wettability of a glass outlet and to prevent flooding by covering the glass outlet of the titled bushing with a substance having a larger contact angle with molten glass than the base material of the bushing. CONSTITUTION:Covering layers 14a, 14b, and 14c of the substance having a larger contact angle with molten glass 13 than the base material of the bushing 5 are provided respectively in 1-10mu thickness at the glass outlet I of the bushing 5 for producing glass fiber. A Pt alloy is preferably used as the base material of the bushing, and Au, a Pt-Au alloy, and a Pt-Rh-Au alloy are preferably used as the substance having a larger contact angle with molten glass than the bushing base material. |
