PURPOSE:To hold the attitude of a development part after switching stably by simple constitution by providing a spring which operates against a return energizing force to the piston rod of a solenoid which switches and operates two development parts. CONSTITUTION:A swing interlocking body 22 is supported pivotally on a support shaft 21 and pins 23 and 24 are fitted to both ends; and a rotary cam 25 is rotated clockwise to separate a development part 24 from a photosensitive body 1 while putting a development part in contact, and the cam 25 is rotated counterclockwise to reverse their contacting/noncontacting states. The cam shaft 26 is rotated by solenoids S (S1 and S2) and piston rods P (P1 and P2), but when the rod P1 is drawn in, the rod P1 is energized by the spring 33 in the drawing-in direction and held at its attitude and when the rod P2 is switched and drawn in, the rod P1 is prevented from protruding too much by being energized by the spring 33, thus eliminating a deviation in switching timing. Consequently, the attitudes of development parts after switching are held stable.
