PURPOSE:To improve color rendering properties by forming a captioned mercury lamp of the specific first, second and third phosphors. CONSTITUTION:A captioned mercury lamp is consisting of the first phosphor in which a phosphor coating formed sticking to the outer tube inside surface is an yttrium aluminate phosphor activated by trihydric cerium, the second phosphor which is a barium magnesium aluminate phosphor coactivated by dihydric europium and dihydric manganese and the third phosphor which is at least one of the yttrium vanadate phosphor activated by trihydric europium and an yttrium vanadate phosphate phosphor. Thereby, color rendering properties can be sharply improved.
