PURPOSE:To non-destructively discriminate the required thickness of a heat- shielding coating layer by forming the Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 forming the heat- shielding coating layer of a high temp. heat resistant member into the structure laminated with two layers; a layer contg. a light emittable activator and layer without contg. said activator. CONSTITUTION:The high temp. heat resistant member is obtd. by forming the heat-shielding coating layer consisting of ceramics by plasma spraying, etc., on the surface of a base material. The above-mentioned heat-shielding coating layer is made into the structure laminated with the two layers of the Y2O3- stabilized ZrO2 added with the light emittable activator and the Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 without contg. the light emittable activator or added with the different light emittable activator. One layer which is in direct contact with the above- mentioned base material of the above-mentioned two layers is made into the min. thickness at which the heat-shielding effect is obtd. greenish blue Bi2O3, TiO2, Tb4O7 or red Eu2O3, Sm2O3, etc., are used for the above-mentioned light emittable activator. The service life of the heat-shielding coating layer is thus non-destructively detected. |
